Walk through a data center
DC-01 is a working AI data center you can walk through, from the lobby to the generators, with every system running.
Select anything and it explains itself
Aim at a chiller, a UPS module, a breaker, a top-of-rack switch, and open it. Each panel says what the equipment does, shows its live readings, and lists how it connects to the rest of the building: fed by, feeds, backed by, cooled by. Every connection is a link to that equipment, so you can follow the power from the utility transformer to a single rack without leaving the panel.
Panels end with a glossary of every abbreviation they use. A test in the project fails if a panel ever uses a term the glossary does not define.
Five drills that play out while you watch
A utility outage drops the building onto battery, cranks the generators, closes 52-G, then transfers back. A pump trips and the standby starts by itself. A fiber cut reroutes traffic. A fire in the data hall is found by the air-sampling detector, the pre-action valve fills the dry pipes, and one sprinkler head bursts over the fire. A fire in the electrical room is put out with clean agent while the power stays on.
Each step holds long enough to read. Labels pin to whatever just changed, and if it is behind you the label waits at the edge of the screen on its side.
The diagrams are live
Every room has the drawing that trade actually uses, mounted by the door: a power one-line in the electrical room, a chilled-water flow diagram in the plant, a network topology in the network room, a fire alarm riser in the data hall. They update as the building changes state. Breakers go red and green, pump status follows the real pumps, supply and return temperatures move.
The NOC's systems wall shows all five at once, which is roughly what a real operations floor looks like.
See what is normally invisible
Thermal view shades surfaces by heat. Three traces animate along the actual pipe, duct, and fiber tray they describe: the coolant loop, the power path from transformer through switchgear and UPS to the busway, and the data path from rack to top-of-rack to leaf, spine, edge, and out through the carrier cage.
The traces change color with the state of the building. Power goes red on battery and green on generators. Coolant goes red and stops moving when flow stops.
Controls
On a phone, the left side of the screen moves and the right side looks. Tap to open a panel. No keyboard hints are shown.
Notes & credits
DC-01 is a composite facility rather than a copy of any real building. The layout, equipment list and sequences follow ordinary practice for a liquid-cooled AI hall: a 2N electrical room, N+1 cooling, pre-action sprinkler protection in the data hall and clean agent in the electrical room. Readings are simulated and sized to be plausible, not measured. The drills follow the order of operations you would expect, at a speed you can read.
